Unlike a group yoga class, every Yoga Therapy session is tailored to your needs and goals to ensure effective results. Yoga therapy is a complementary therapy that can work in conjunction with physio, psychotherapy and other medical treatments you're already receiving.

As a yoga therapist, I see you as a whole being. You might come to me with any range of issues (i.e. chronic back pain, neck stiffness, anxiety, stress, cancer, trauma, depression, asthma...) and I understand that everything is interconnected. For example, back pain may make you feel irritable, effect your sleep and create shallow breathing. We work together to address the issues at hand and any underlying, root causes.
During our sessions, we discuss thought patterns and behaviours and any desired change. We work as a team to address every part of you - your body, your mind and your spirit. You are the expert on you and it is my job to restore your agency. I am here to assist you in the process of healing yourself.
Often when you work with a doctor, a physiotherapist, a psychologist, these people are focusing on one part of who you are. The doctor and physio can do wonders for your physical body, the psychologist can greatly help you understand your own mind. As a yoga therapist, I see that the mind, body and soul are intimately connected. Our goal together is to alleviate your suffering and bring you into a place of healing and peace. I do hope we find an opportunity to meet.
With Love
Kelsey
