My Approach
With a background in and passion for yoga, I explore present moment awareness and mindfulness of your body, emotions and thoughts. I work relationally, which means we can explore our therapeutic relationship and how it may mirror the relationships in your life. We will work together to examine all of these things and more in service of you and your goals.
My Modalities
I first studied yoga, mindfulness, meditation and yoga therapy - these modalities all greatly inform the talk therapy I practice.
I also draw from my studies in:

Frequently Asked Questions
Therapy Specific Questions:
-
I work with people going through big life transitions—changes in career, relationships, or identity—that have left them feeling unsettled, disconnected, or uncertain about who they are. I also have a passion for helping women who people please and have difficulty with boundary setting.
-
Gestalt therapy is a relational, present-focused approach that helps you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns, so you can create meaningful change from the inside out.
-
Sessions are collaborative and responsive to what you bring in. We'll explore your experiences, how you relate to yourself and others, and work to deepen awareness and integration.
-
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can talk about your needs and see if it feels like a good match. It’s important to find a therapist that feels “right” for you.
Practical & Policy Questions:
-
Sessions are 60 min. (a full hour) and I recommend therapy happens on a weekly basis for it to be the most effective
-
My fee is $225 for an hour session. Initial intake sessions are 90 min. and cost $340. I can provide receipts for private health rebates if you're eligible.
-
If you have private health insurance with extras cover, you may be able to claim rebates. I don’t offer bulk billing, but can help you explore your options.
-
I work privately, which allows for greater flexibility and confidentiality. This means I don’t work under Medicare plans. I do however liaise with GPs and am happy to do so similar to how a psychologist under a mental health care plan would do.

I look forward to hearing from you!
Psychotherapists and counsellors are considered Allied Health Professionals
Psychotherapy and counselling sessions may be covered by some private health insurance funds. Check your insurer for more details.
Unfortunately, at this time psychotherapists and counsellors are not part of the Medicare Rebate scheme. I am, however, happy to work with your GP under the Mental Health Care Plan via regular updates on your therapeutic process if you feel that would benefit you.
