The new moon (when the night sky is at its darkest) is a time of quiet, reflective and introspective practices. The perfect opportunity to slow down, relax and rest.
When the pace of life is fast, our minds move fast, too. When we are attracted to a strong, fast-moving yoga practice, we can easily overstimulate ourselves. We may end up feeling overwhelmed, tired and feel our minds are racing. We get sick quicker and more often.
Take the time to support your mind and body in this two hour workshop.
Join Kelsey (yoga therapist) to shed layers of tension, release mental stress and reconnect to yourself through relaxing, restorative yoga poses. Follow yoga with a gong bath & sound healing session lead by Galina (meditation teacher) to drop deeper into a meditative state.
Restorative yoga uses props to support your body as you soften into gentle, long held, postures. It is a healing practice that moves us out of fight, flight, freeze stress response and into relaxation. When we are relaxed, our bodies repair and our systems restore. We feel whole again.
The gong is an ancient healing modality that creates energetic sound resonance and physical vibration within us. It generates a feeling of serenity and contentment; a state that allows your body to heal and rejuvenate.
This session will leave you feeling deeply relaxed and restored with a sense of balance in all aspects of your being – body, mind, spirit and life.
